Your Musik'n'Motion teacher is a highly trained professional with classroom and field experience in early childhood music education and child development. 

 

Priscilla Soligo (BEd.Early Childhood) Founder and Director Priscilla has completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in Australia and has worked with young children for over 10 years across Australia , the USA , Italy and Hong Kong.  Priscilla is a certified and licensed Musikgarten USA teacher for infants through to early primary.  She is an active member of and holds accreditation by the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association, USA (ECMMA).  She has trained with internationally acclaimed early childhood music and movement specialist Lynn Kleiner of Music Rhapsody in Los Angeles, USA.  She has also trained at Keiki Crescendo Early Childhood Music and Movement School in Hawaii, USA, founded by Carla Waterfield.  Priscilla has received vocal and keyboard training in Sydney Australia and she is also trained in modern jazz and classical ballet and has instructed children's ballet.  She is from Sydney Australia and moved to Hong Kong in 2006 after living and teaching young children in Italy.  Priscilla is the mother of a sweet baby boy, Luca.

Yvonne Chen Lead Teacher Yvonne is originally from Taiwan and has spent much time studying in the United States.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Piano from The State of New York University School of Music, USA and is also trained in Dalcrose Eurhythmics.  She received her Masters of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Pennsylvania State University, USA.  Yvonne is Musikgarten USA qualified from Babies through Toddlers and Cycles of Seasons and has also instructed Musikgarten classes in Taiwan.  She is a professional pianist and piano teacher and holds piano recitals for her students in Hong Kong.  Yvonne has an ardent enthusiasm for sharing her rich musical education with her favourite students of all, babies and young children.

Lauren Ward Teacher Lauren was born and raised in Zimbabwe.  She left for South Africa at the age of 18 to study BSc Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town.  Lauren’s musical background comes from years of playing the piano, singing at church and teaching children at Sunday school.  She was involved in the foundation and establishment of the charity ‘Oasis’ in Hong Kong, which works to raise funds, resources and awareness for underprivileged children and women in Africa and the sub-continent.  She loves working with children and believes passionately in the value of exposing them to the wonders of music at a young age.  She has trained with Musik’n’Motion and is also studying English and Classics.  Lauren is a mother to a toddler named Andrew.

Janet Lynch Lead Assistant Janet has been working in the early childhood development field for several years.  Having been primarily involved with assisting in an active learning centre, Janet has been with us since our inception.  As a mother of a Toddler herself, Janet has a keen understanding of young children and is a favourite with parents and children alike.
