Registration Policy and Conditions

 

Registration:

• Registrations will be processed on a priority basis giving first priority to attending/returning clients, followed by waitlisted clients, and finally new enquiries.
• Students may join at any time during the school year and tuition will be prorated.
• If you are unsure of what class to book, please call or email us.

Payments:

• Faxed or emailed registrations are not secured without payment.
• Payments are to be made for the whole course.  Partial payments cannot be accepted.
• A 10% sibling discount applies to total cost with the same term.

Family Music Packs:

• Family Music Packs are included for families who have registered for 6 or more classes in a term.  Note that Family Packs are not included for Summer Music Camp.
• Only one Family Music Pack per family will be provided when a sibling discount applies.

Musical Achievement Certificates:

• To qualify for a Musical Achievement Certificate, your child must have registered from the first day of the commencement of term, and have attended at least 75% of the terms classes.

Refunds:

• No refunds can be accepted for missed classes, however one make up class per child per term may be scheduled.  This is subject to class availability and must be pre-arranged with the office.
• Tuition paid is non-refundable and non-transferable to any other session, or term.

Illness and Holidays:

• Please do not bring your child to class if they are unwell or have a cold.  If your child is sick, please call in advance to schedule a make-up class.  There is no reduction in tuition for missed classes.

Cancellations by Priscilla’s Musik'n'Motion:

• If any class needs to be cancelled by the teacher due to unforeseen circumstances, we will arrange a makeup class between course cycles.  If you are unable to attend the make-up class, you are entitled for a refund for that missed class.

Accompanying your Child:

• Priscilla’s Musik'n'Motion offers child friendly programs which require parental/caregiver participation. Each registered child must be accompanied by either one parent, one caregiver, or one domestic helper.
• In the case where a parent has registered more than one child, each child will be required to be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
• If the child is participating in an independent activity, the adult will be required to stay on the premise in line with the requirements of the Social Welfare Department.

Domestic Helpers:

• Your domestic helper is welcome to sit in subject to the prevailing policies of the host facility.

Typhoons and Rainstorms:

• If Typhoon Signal 8 is hoisted, or notice has been given by the Royal Hong Kong Observatory that the Signal 8 is about to be raised within 2 hours, classes will be cancelled.
• When a Black Rainstorm warning is given, all classes will be cancelled until 2 hours after the signal is lowered.
• Classes cancelled due to Typhoons, Black Rain, or other "Acts of Nature" will not be subject to make-up classes or refund.  Priscilla’s Musik'n'Motion will endeavour to reschedule a cancelled class, but this is solely at our discretion.

Videos, Photography and Tape Recorders:

• Video and sound recordings are prohibited due to copyright agreements.

Mobile Phones and Pagers:

• Mobile phones and pagers should be turned off prior to entering class as a courtesy to the teacher, other parents and to the children.

PLEASE REMEMBER...

... that all children learn at different rates and in different ways.  Some children will be quiet in class, others will be active.  Some children will do everything perfectly at home, but not in class.  As a parent, you know that every child is unique, so please leave your comparisons at the door and let the music work its magic!
